The International Day of Cooperatives Celebrated by Cooperatives all around Morocco

Moroccan cooperatives honor the International Day of Cooperatives paying tribute to a hopeful movement.

Morocco came alive with the celebration of The International Day of Cooperatives on July 6th, united under the theme “Cooperatives build a better future for all.” The event showcased the vital role of this alternative economic model in driving the country’s sustainable and inclusive development.
Across the Kingdom, cooperatives and their partners, alongside government authorities and international organizations, organized diverse events and initiatives. These aimed to increase public understanding of cooperatives’ positive contributions to people’s daily lives and to emphasize their critical role in addressing inequalities and fostering a solidarity-based economy.

The events organized for this day were rich and diverse. Conferences, training workshops, exhibitions, and thematic meetings allowed cooperatives, institutional actors, and the general public to come together, exchange experiences, and share their thoughts on the challenges and prospects for the development of the Moroccan cooperative movement.
